Under the leadership of director Erwin Bottinger, PhD, and Thomas Fuchs, PhD, the Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Health will combine innovative, complementary research resources and talents in health care, health sciences, data sciences, biomedical and digital engineering to empower citizens and their healthcare providers for better health outcomes with real-time predictive and preventive digital health solutions.
With world-class expertise and complementary resources in health care, data sciences and biomedical and digital engineering, the new Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Health at Mount Sinai will conduct patient-engaged and data-driven research. The longer-term goals of the Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Health at Mount Sinai include:
establishing an organizational framework in which researchers at HPI and Mount Sinai collaborate and co-innovate seamlessly across health care and digital engineering
extending funding opportunities for researchers in the United States and abroad
researching and testing prototype digital health solutions for consumers, patients, providers, and health systems in the United States, Europe, and beyond.
We are looking for a Senior Data engineer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end, and the App. Your responsibility also will engage in constant integration with new features and maintaining the infrastructure. Design and creation of new REST API for data communication among the parties will be required at least for the first part of the development. The infrastructure will cover one or more projects simultaneously, therefore responsibility is to maintain the infrastructure available.
